NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CONTRACT FOR TRANSPORTATION OF WET SEWAGE SLUDGE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids (“Bids”) will be received by the Township of Chatham, County of Morris, State of New Jersey (the “Township”) on October 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Township’s Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham, New Jersey 07928, at which time and place all Bids will be opened and read in public. No Bid Proposal submitted after the date and time specified will be opened or considered. Bids are sought for the transportation of wet sludge from the Township’s Water Pollution Control Plant to the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners during the period commencing from December 1, 2026 terminating November 30, 2029, with two (2) one year options to renew for the periods commencing December 1, 2029 through November 30, 2030 and December 1, 2030 through November 30, 2031.
Specifications and Bid forms are on file in the office of the Township Clerk and may be obtained online by prospective bidders at no cost, during regular business hours (9:00 am to 4:00 p.m.) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, beginning September 11, 2026.
The deadline for questions, clarifications, and request for information (“RFI”) regarding the Bid Specifications is on September 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM prevailing time. Questions and RFIs must be in writing. Send all questions and RFIs by email to: [email protected] with a copy to Township Counsel, Tiena M. Cofoni, at [email protected]. Responses to all questions, clarifications and RFI will be by addendum, which shall be posted on the Township website and provided to each Bidder who received the bid package no later than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the date for acceptance of Bids.
All Bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days after the due date for submission of the Bids.
The Township reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bids received in accordance with applicable law.
