2025 Public Works Bulletin & Announcements
We are excited to announce the publication of our 2025 Department of Public Works Bulletin, which you can download as a PDF file at the bottom of this page. Residents should also keep an eye on their mailboxes, as physical issues of the bulletin will be arriving this month.
This year, we’ve included new information about Chatham Township’s Adopt-A-Drain community program, run in collaboration between Public Works and the Environmental Commission. The program allows residents to help care for a storm drain near their home in order to keep our streets free of flooding and pollution. You can learn more by visiting our Adopt-A-Drain info page.
In 2024, we eliminated the need for permits to access the Tanglewood Lane Composting Facility and now only require you to show a valid government-issued identification with proof of residence. This no-permit-required policy will continue in 2025.
Additionally, as the holiday season wraps up, remember that you can drop off your Christmas trees at the Tanglewood Lane Depot during regular operating hours. If this doesn’t fit your schedule, we encourage you to contact your private garbage contractor to inquire about pick-up options.
These updates and more are on the Department of Public Works page of the Township website for your convenience. We’re committed to making township services as accessible and user-friendly as possible. We hope you find our DPW bulletin to be a reflection of our dedication to serving our community efficiently.
