NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE 2026-5

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CHATHAM, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY, ESTABLISHING AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND ADOPTING REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF VERY LOW-, LOW-,  AND MODERATE-INCOME HOUSING UNITS

Notice is hereby given that the above-referenced ordinance was adopted on second reading and after public hearing by the Township Committee of the Township of Chatham at a workshop meeting held on March 10, 2026.

The purpose of the ordinance is to amend the Township Code, specifically Chapter 29 to establish regulations and requirements governing the administration of the Township’s Affordable Housing Program, all in accordance with the Township’s Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan.

A copy of the full ordinance has been posted on the Township Website at www.chathamtownship.org.  Furthermore, a copy of the full ordinance is available to the general public at the office of the Township Clerk, located in the Chatham Township Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham, New Jersey, County of Morris, New Jersey and can be viewed during regular business hours or requested from the Township Clerk.
