The Chatham Township Environmental Commission (CTEC) is inviting the community, especially those who use Shunpike, to a work day on Saturday October 26th from 8:30-10:30am at Shunpike Field / Castle Park for our annual clean up day AND a to help out in the Oak Grove Restoration Project. We are so excited to have been awarded an ANJEC Open Space Stewardship grant with additional funding from the Chatham Jaycees to restore the understory at Shunpike’s oak grove. We’ll be planting native American Holly and Flowering Dogwood trees as well as erecting protective fencing. All are welcome – bring a pair of work gloves and we’ll see you there!
