Patrol Division
Primary Function
The primary function of the Chatham Township Police Department Patrol Division is to serve and protect life and property and to enforce all Federal, State and Local laws. The uniformed officer, clearly the most visible component of the division, is the backbone of the Police Department providing protection and service to a community of 10,600 residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With a patrol area of 9.3 square miles, the Chatham Township Police Department’s Patrol Division strives to serve the community’s needs and continually looks to improve and expand upon community orientated policing programs in an effort to better serve and protect the people that live and visit our community.
