Passaic River Bridge Replacement

January 29, 2025

Beginning on January 31, 2025, the Passaic Street Bridge into New Providence will be closed for approximately 12 months for a bridge replacement project.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours and allow extra travel time when driving near River Road, Southern Boulevard, and Fairmount Avenue.

To help manage traffic and enhance safety, a temporary traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of River Road and Fairmount Avenue. Please use caution and stay alert when approaching this area.
