Chatham Township Hosts New Jersey Veterans Network Event for Local Heroes

January 7, 2025

Chatham Township is proud to announce that it will host the New Jersey Veterans Network’s (NJVN) “Resources and Job Assistance for Heroes” event on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Municipal Building (58 Meyersville Road). This event is designed to provide essential resources and job assistance to veterans in the area, highlighting the Township’s commitment to supporting those who have selflessly served our community and country.

The New Jersey Veterans Network is a charitable organization dedicated to assisting veterans and their families by connecting them to crucial resources, programs, and support networks that improve their quality of life. Their mission focuses on enhancing health, wellness, and overall independence while fostering community engagement.

Township Administrator Ziad “Z” Shehady commented, “Chatham Township is honored to collaborate with NJVN to bring this impactful event to the community. Events like these strengthen the bonds between veterans, first responders, and local residents while emphasizing the Township’s dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.  Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who have given so much for us.”

Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to meet representatives from various support programs, connect with job assistance resources, and enjoy refreshments. A special guest appearance by Shadow, America’s Pup, will add an exciting and heartfelt touch to the occasion.
