Stacey Ewald
Biography
Stacey Ewald was appointed Mayor effective 1/2/2024. She was sworn in for her first term as a Chatham Township Committeewoman on 1/2/2020 and is currently serving her second term on the Committee. She previously served as Mayor in 2021.
Stacey and her husband, Bob, moved to Chatham Township in 1997, and have since raised their two children here. In an effort to give back to the public-school community that encouraged and inspired her children, Stacey served eight years as a Trustee of the Chatham Education Foundation, three of those years as President. She also served in numerous roles for the PTO including President of the Southern Boulevard School PTO, Enrichment Chair, Character Education Committee Chair and more. Through these and other volunteer positions, she coordinated the efforts of countless volunteers to raise funds and run programs for the benefit of our public school system and the Chatham community.
Professionally, in 2023, Stacey resumed her career in financial services and is working for a Fortune 50 firm as a business control manager focused on digital channels. Previously, she worked in internal audit management and finance for 14 years for a Fortune 100 financial services firm, examining the financial, regulatory and operational processes and risks, and developing effective business solutions. During that time, she also served as Chief Administrative Officer for the brokerage division’s audit department. She received her MBA in Finance and her BS in Actuarial Science, both from NYU.
