- It may take a few months before the County of Morris records your deed and notifies us of the ownership change. However, since you are the owner of the property as of the closing date it is your responsibility to know your tax and sewer obligations.
- Any payment due should be made by the due dates regardless of whether you have a bill or the name listed on the ownership. Ownership descriptions will be updated electronically once we are notified by the County of Morris.
- You may view your current property tax bill and view/pay your property taxes or sewer bill by visiting our Online Website.
- State statute N.J.S.A. 54:4-64 (3) states: “The validity of any tax or assessment, or the time at which it shall be payable, shall not be affected by the failure of a taxpayer to receive a tax bill, but every taxpayer is put on notice to ascertain from the proper official of the taxing district the amount which may be due for taxes or assessments against him or his property.”
