NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES BETWEEN 522 SOUTHERN BOULEVARD AND MADISON TRAIN STATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids (“Bids”) will be received by the Township of Chatham, County of Morris, State of New Jersey (the “Township”) on September 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM prevailing time at the Township’s Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham, New Jersey 07928, at which time and place all Bids will be opened and read in public. No Bid Proposal submitted after the date and time specified will be opened or considered.
Specifications and Bid forms are on file in the office of the Township Clerk and may be obtained online by prospective bidders at no cost, during regular business hours (9:00 am to 4:00 p.m.) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, beginning August 1, 2024.
All Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total Bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Gregory LaConte, Township Clerk and clearly marked on the outside “Public Transportation Services Between 522 Southern Boulevard and Madison Train Station”.
The successful Bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Township a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted Bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful Bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Bid Specifications.
The deadline for questions, clarifications, and request for information (“RFI”) regarding the Bid Specifications is on August 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM prevailing time. Questions and RFIs must be in writing. Send all questions and RFIs by email to: glaconte@chathamtownship.org. Responses to all questions, clarifications and RFI will be by Addendum, which shall be published in the official newspaper of the Township and one newspaper of general circulation published in the State no later than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the date for acceptance of Bids. A copy of the Addendum will also be posted on the Township’s website.
All Bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days after the due date for submission of the Bids.
The Township reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bids received in accordance with applicable law.
Bidders are required to comply, where applicable, with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 – 1 et seq., as amended, regarding equal employment opportunity. All corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 regarding disclosure of partners, members, and stockholders.
