Chatham Township Announces Schedule for Repaving of Hillside Avenue

Chatham Township is pleased to announce that repaving work will soon begin on Hillside Avenue. Work is expected to begin on or about July 21, 2026 and will take place between River Road and 344 Hillside Avenue. The working hours for this project, weather permitting, will be Monday through Friday between approximately 7:00AM to 4:30 PM. Please be advised that this section of road will be closed to traffic during working hours.

This project was approved by the Township Committee via Resolution 2025-155 on July 15th, 2025. This resolution officially awarded the construction contract to PM Construction Corporation in the amount of $314,790.00. This paving project is part of an ongoing series of drainage and road improvements being made to Hillside Avenue, partially funded by a $261,720 grant awarded to the Township by the New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Project in 2025. Chatham Township would like to thank our partners at the state for helping us improve local infrastructure without creating an additional tax burden on our residents.
