CHATHAM TOWNSHIP Announces  Second Annual Summer Series

 

Mark your calendar for the Second Annual Summer Series in Chatham Township. The Schedule of Events includes a family movie night “The BEE Movie”, Krazy Kat DJ Production  on July 1, Concert by local residents “The Mailman's Band”, face painting/balloons by Jinxxy on  July 15, and a Car Show on July 29,  featuring WMTR's Golden  Gup and Magic of Marco,.  All events will be held at Mountainview Field behind the Chatham Township Municipal Building on Meyersville Road.  Remember to bring your blankets or chairs and enjoy the evening, food, beverages  and snacks provide by local vendors.

Children’s activities will be presented prior to each event.  The Main Event will follow from 7:30 pm-9:00pm (except for Family Move Night on July 1, which will start one hour later).  More detailed information will be made available on the Township Website at www.chathamtownship.org

2008 Schedule of Events

July 1, 2008

Krazy Kat DJ Productions will entertain the kids with dance music and contests from 7:30pm-8:30pm.  At dusk, Family Movie Night will feature “The BEE Movie”, a Dream Works Animation production.  Voices by: Jerry Seinfeld, Renee Zellweger and Chris Rock. Rated PG.

Barry B. Benson, a bee who just graduated from college, is disillusioned with his only job prospect, honey.  When he ventures outside of the hive, he breaks a cardinal rule and talks to humans and is shocked to find out that humans have been stealing the bee's honey for centuries and decides to sue them in this animated comedy.

July 15, 2008

6:30pm-7:30pm- Children's activities with Jinxx, The Magical Clown,  Balloon Creations and Face Painting.

7:30pm-9:00pm- The Mailman's Band, featuring local residents of Chatham,  Adam on keyboards and vocals, Carl on sax and vocals, Chris on lead guitar, John on drums, Mark and guitar and vocals, Roy on bass guitar and Noel on lead
vocals.

July 29, 2008

6:30pm-8:30pm- A unique Car Show featuring cars of all ages will be judged by both adults and kids.  Two sets of trophies will be awarded at 8:20pm. WTMR's Golden Gup will be playing Oldies music and Magic by Marco and a Stilt Walker will be there to entertain the kids.

 

All events will be held at Mountainview Field behind the Chatham Township Municipal Building at 58 Meyersville Road in Chatham Township.  Come enjoy the evening with family and friends, bring blankets and chairs, and relax.  Food, snacks and beverages will be provided by local restaurants at each event.
